About this file
This Amendment #1 document pertains to a Lawn Maintenance Services solicitation issued by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) on September 8, 2022. The solicitation seeks lawn maintenance services for SLED Headquarters located at 4400 Broad River Road, Columbia, South Carolina. Offerors must submit offers online at www.procurement.sc.gov by September 15, 2022 at 3:00 PM, with questions due by September 7, 2022 at 10:00 AM. A pre-bid conference and site visit are scheduled for September 6, 2022 at 10:00 AM at SLED Headquarters. The contract award is anticipated on September 19, 2022. The solicitation indicates a standard three-year contract term, though specific renewal options are not detailed in this amendment document.
The amendment clarifies scope-of-work questions received from prospective bidders, confirming that fence line maintenance, weed removal in asphalt and concrete areas, and tree maintenance are excluded from the contract. Shrub pruning is included and shall be provided as needed, typically once annually. SLED will cover the cost of background checks required for winning vendor crews. The current contract price is $1,500 per month; however, no budget has been published for the new solicitation. The amendment references the protest provision inclusion in Section 2-A due to the contract's anticipated value potentially exceeding $50,000 over the three-year period. Offerors are directed to the previous solicitation (number 5400018502) for reference regarding scope of work and historical information.

CLAIMING ANY PREFERENCES. THE REQUIREMENTS TO QUALIFY HAVE CHANGED. IF YOU
REQUEST A PREFERENCE, YOU ARE CERTIFYING THAT YOUR OFFER QUALIFIES FOR THE
