About this file
This is Amendment #1 to an Invitation for Bids issued by the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism for grounds maintenance services at the Little River Welcome Center. The solicitation, numbered 5400020237, was issued on September 22, 2020, with a bid opening date and time of September 29, 2020, at 2:00 PM. Bids must be submitted online at http://www.procurement.sc.gov. The pre-bid conference was previously held prior to the amendment issuance. Award notification is scheduled for October 2, 2020. The amendment clarifies contractor responsibilities through question-and-answer responses, specifically addressing landscaping, irrigation system operations, and grounds maintenance scope.
The amendment confirms that the grounds maintenance contractor is responsible for irrigation system monitoring and inspection on a bi-monthly basis, including seasonal settings and repairs at no additional cost to SCPRT after an initial thirty-day inspection period. The contractor must also maintain clear zone weekly cutting and truck parking lots as part of the contract scope. SCPRT will address any issues identified during the initial thirty-day inspection period, pending financial impact and availability. Contractors may request the addition of irrigation zones, with approval contingent upon available reimbursable funding. Procurement Officer Scott Dobereiner can be reached at (803) 734-1302 or sdobereiner@scprt.com for additional information. Offerors must hold their bids open for a minimum of thirty calendar days after the opening date.
