About this file

This is Amendment 1 to an Invitation for Bid issued by the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism for window and siding replacement services at the H. Cooper Black Field Trial Area located in Cheraw, South Carolina. The amendment modifies the original solicitation by extending the submission deadline from November 1, 2023, to November 6, 2023, at 3:30 PM EST and postponing the award date from November 8, 2023, to November 15, 2023. A pre-bid conference is scheduled for October 27, 2023, at 10:00 AM at the project site, with questions from offerors due by October 27, 2023, at 5:00 PM EST. The scope of work has been expanded to include block foundation painting (approximately 400 square feet) and interior wall repair and painting of adjoining exterior walls (approximately 1,150 square feet). Offerors must submit one original response online through the South Carolina Procurement Information System at http://www.procurement.sc.gov using Google Chrome as the compatible browser.

The amendment specifies detailed preparation and application requirements for all painting work, requiring high-quality coatings from either Sherwin Williams Duration or Benjamin Moore Aura, with a minimum of two coats applied in accordance with manufacturer specifications. Block foundation color is to be determined by the Park Manager, while interior wall paint must match existing color, texture, and sheen. The contractor is responsible for material storage and must coordinate staging areas with the Park Manager. Offerors must acknowledge receipt of the amendment and may claim applicable in-state vendor, contractor, or subcontractor preferences under South Carolina Code Section 11-35-1524. Offers must remain open for a minimum of thirty calendar days after the opening date, and all procurement-related notices will be posted on the South Carolina Procurement Information Center website.
