About this file
This is Amendment No. 2 to Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. DR141664 issued by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA) on July 24, 2026, for the procurement of six stake bed trucks equipped with pressure washers. The solicitation requires bidders to submit new Ford F-550 or approved equal vehicles with gasoline engines, automatic transmissions, 12-foot by 8-foot aluminum stake beds, and integrated pressure washer systems rated at minimum 6.3 gpm at 3,000 psi with water recovery capability. All equipment must be the latest factory model year with no rebuilt or remanufactured components and must comply with California Air Quality Management District rules, California Air Resources Board standards, EPA Tier 4 emissions, and UL 1776 pressure washer certification. Delivery is required within 180 days of the contract effective date (May 27, 2026) to LACMTA Division 10 at 742 North Mission Road, Los Angeles, California. Questions regarding the solicitation are due July 31, 2026, with bids due August 21, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. via email submission to bids@metro.net. Amendment No. 2 specifically revises Section 4.26 regarding skid size and equipment layout, requiring bidders to submit the proposed skid size, equipment layout, and installation configuration to LACMTA for review and approval prior to installation.
Bidders must submit firm unit prices covering all labor, overhead, profit, taxes, tariffs, insurance, freight, and all subcontractor and supplier costs, with California sales tax at 9.75% and a California tire fee of $1.75 per tire applying to the total bid. Bid security of at least 10% of total bid price is required and must remain firm for 90 days. Pre-qualification is required if the bid exceeds $500,000. No specific Small Business Enterprise (SBE) or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) subcontracting goal has been established; however, bidders are encouraged to afford maximum opportunities to certified SBE/DVBE firms when subcontracting opportunities exist. Payment terms are Net 30, with separate invoices required per vehicle including VIN or serial number. Warranty periods range from one to six years depending on component. Award will be made to the lowest-priced responsive and responsible bidder on a firm fixed-price basis.
