VIDEO TELECONFERENCING EQUIPMENT & SYSTEM INSTALLATION SERVICES

SCOPE OF WORK:

The work includes providing labor and installation of three new Government-furnished Video Teleconferencing

Equipment (VTC) systems. The VTC systems shall be integrated with existing Audio/Video (A/V) equipment and the FS network, per CIO directives.

The following list illustrates new-in-box VTC systems to be integrated into the existing A/V systems. Full details of the existing A/V systems are listed at each location description below.

The Crestron touchpad controller shall integrate the additional wired microphone array for volume control.

All Locations:

Miscellaneous Wiring and Hardware to Facilitate Installation: Contractor will provide all necessary electrical and mechanical supplies to fully install and integrate the new and existing systems.

Data and Training: Contractor must present all warranty, single line & construction drawings, and manufacturer operating instructions in an organized binder to the COR. Semi-formal training on set-up and operation of installed elements must be conducted with key personnel prior to job completion.

Warranty: Vendor shall honor all manufacturers’ warranties for their duration and provide on-site services for a period of two years following system acceptance for equipment and install labor supplied by this contract.

General Instructions:

The existing (new) VTC equipment shall be installed per manufacturer’s recommendation and shall connect to the

FS Ethernet network. Any equipment provided by the vendor shall seamlessly interface with the current installation.

An office site visit is recommended to see the new equipment and assess the work required for full integration with our A/V systems and FS network. The VTC systems shall be wired for low-voltage data to the Telecomm

Room in the 1st Floor, Main Building.

The VTC system shall be permanently installed to walls, ceilings and/or racks and shall include troubleshooting for the integrated software that interfaces with the VTC system network. All new items are to be furnished as same or equal to the existing systems.

There will be no substitutions or alternative products that will be used, other than the Government-furnished property unless approved by the Contracting Officer. Alternative solutions must be presented prior to solicitation closing date.

Final locations for each camera shall be coordinated with the COR prior to installation, and confirmed in writing.

Each camera shall have adequate horizontal and vertical clearance to provide adequate coverage of desired monitoring locations for video conferencing operations. The VTC system installer shall have all required certifications and shall provide all system installation that includes quality assurance, testing and inspection necessary for a fully functional VTC system. The installer shall provide service and maintenance for a period of one year from the date of acceptance of the VTC system installations.

The VTC system installer shall provide adequate training to the Forest Service staff at a date determined by the

COR.
