Amendment 0006 Page 2 of 2

A question was received as follows:

1. Due to a technical issue, the stained Certainteed siding is not currently being manufactured. Would replacing with a Certainteed Painted Product or James Hardie ColorPlus be an acceptable alternative?

2.

The answer is:

The contractor is correct. They are reformulating the stained siding and it will not be available until the end of the year. I spoke to a couple of their sales reps. They will make exceptions if we need to provide replacement to existing stained fiber cement siding such as Idyllwild RS, where we need to match the existing.

We are fine going with the Ready-to-paint Certainteed fiber cement siding. Is this something you would want updated on the reconstruction logs? We definitely do not want to go with James Hardie product, as we have had many problems with their product holding up. I am thinking we want to go with the ready-to-paint over the color plus since there would be less restrictions on color pallettes.
