AG-94TZ-S-16-0051/Amendment One/Page 2

1. Question on the flooring installation – The cork flooring from specification 09652 shall be followed. The cork finish material is adhered to the recommended substrate. The floating system was found in specs in 06100 and should be deleted because it was noted to be a floating type installation.

Delete “The finish floor shall be installed as a floating system.” Under section 6100 - PART 3 – EXECUTION - 3.1 – Installation - A. Elden Lookout – Phase I page 29 and “The finish flooring shall be a floating type system.” Under PART 4 - MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT - 4.1 – Measurement page 30.

1. A class II system is requested. This would mean that the entire existing class 1 system would need to be replaced. I believe the L.O. is not over 75' tall, so class II material would not be needed.

The system will remain as a Class I system.

3. UL and LPI are mentioned for inspections and certifications. They are both basically the same inspection. This would be costly and redundant.

Either type of inspection and certification will be accepted and both are not required.

4. A counterpoise ground loop is called out to be the size of the main cable and to be 24" deep. That would mean that the existing ground loop would need to be replaced. This would be an extremely expensive proposition given the fact that the ground loop trench would be dug to a depth of 24" in the hard rocky soil.

This is changed to state that the existing couterpoise ground loop needs to be tested for proper resistance, if within the required limits no additional work is required. If the counterpoise loop is outside of the required limits addition work work maybe required and this will be determined at that point.

5. There are not any specifications for a sink or plumbing? There is not a sink or not plumbing in the contract for Elden Lookout.

6. There is not a specification for a bed? There is no bed that is going to be in place for the lookout.
