Ground Source Heat Pump AG-82B1-S-10-0397
Your only allowing about 5 weeks to complete the project. Is there any chance of extensions? What if the weather closed in? The equipment for this job could take up to 1 ½ weeks to receive and could also cut into install time.
The time can be extended as the contract is being solicited later in the year than we anticipated. However, since this is a working building utility interruptions should be kept to a minimum during the cold time of year.
Did you want to replace the 5 electric furnaces with 5 GSHP’s? Just attached to existing ductwork.
They are to propose the new system utilizing GSHP technology. However, we recognize that for winter heating auxiliary heat will likely be needed due to harsh climate. I think, we thought they would use the existing ductwork with minimal changes as necessary to connect to other ducts if need be.
And finally. Is there a person to contact at Powell for a walk through? Doug Hunt or Susan Graves can be contacted for a walk through. I guess we could have a prebid meeting on the 8th at 1030. It seems like we have been having trouble with the individual walk throughs.
