Fence Bldgs. 221/222

Replace fencing for lots at buildings 221 and 222

Requirements

*Replace fencing - four lots (approximately 180 lineal feet per lot)

All materials must be rust, corrosion, and/or rot resistant.

All fencing and gates to be metal of sufficient strength to contain/withstand large adult cattle, horses, and bison

Fence Requirements:

Continuous metal fencing of sufficient strength to contain/withstand large adult cattle, horses, and/or bison

Metal posts NLT 5 2.875" diameter and 64" in height, 3' in ground and NTE 6' apart

Horizontal bars NLT 1.75" in diameter

NLT 9 horizontal bars with spacing on center (from ground) of

4" (bottom), 10", 16", 22", 28", 34", 40", 52", 64" (top)

Wire fencing w/ spacing NTE 4" square to cover/secured to all continuous fence

- must cover from bottom rail to top rail

- must be sufficient/secure enough to prevent livestock of > 20# from entrapment

Gates - Placement as marked on Map (sizes approximate)

Sizes of 12' /10' (one each per lot plus an additional 10' per bldg.)

When hung gate clearance should be approximately 6" and top of gate should be NLT 58"

Bar spacing on gate must not exceed spacing of fence.

Gates to be able to swing 90 degree each way from a closed position

Spacing around gate NTE 4" on any side and NTE 2" on latch side

Removal of Old Fence

Remove and dispose of all wooden fence from each lot.

Assure postholes are filled/packed and area leveled to grade.

NADC will dispose of gates
