01 1113 - WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
1113.1 Project Description
This project will demolish and replace the existing Trout Pond Recreation Campground bath house building with a new CXT Taos style toilet building.
The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials to accomplish all work as shown on the drawings and/or specified herein.
The work includes:
1. Demolition and removal of existing toilet/shower building, concrete slab/walks, footers, and portions of below grade utility lines, and associated appurtenances as shown on the drawings.
2. Site Preparation.
A. Includes excavation and/or fill, tree removal, object removal and replacement, and all work needed to prepare the access route from the camp entrance to the site for delivery of the buildings by low-boy trailer (~ 4 inch ground clearance). Site access requirements include vertical clearance of 14’-6” and horizontal clearance of
14’-0”, with additional allowance for turns along the access route clear of obstructions.
B. Includes preparation of the access, ground pad and travel arcs for the crane to unload the building sections from the trailers and place them on the aggregate base. The building location must be accessible and support the movement and parking of the crane and tractor trailer to within two feet and on two adjacent sides (one for crane, one for trailer) of the building pad for unloading the building.
C. Includes excavation and/or fill as needed to obtain required subgrades and achieve correct final building floor finish elevation as shown on the drawings.
D. Includes construction of an aggregate pad as indicated on the drawings.
E. Includes construction of two outdoor shower stations as indicated on the drawings.
F. Includes installation and connection of new water, sewer, and electric cutover lines from 12” above the top of the pad at the building site to the existing utilities, valves, appurtenances, and electric service equipment as shown on the drawings.
3. Delivery and Placement Coordination. Contractor shall provide one prefabricated concrete toilet/shower Taos building.
Contractor shall coordinate delivery and setup with building Supplier (CXT Precast Products, Inc.). Delivery coordination includes all work as necessary in concert with the building Supplier to deliver and place the building on site, including but not limited to the following:
A. Coordination includes verification with Supplier that the site preparation is adequate for building delivery and placement by the Supplier prior to delivery.
B. Contractor shall verify that the Supplier’s trucks and crane can access positions adjacent to the building aggregate base with adequate firmness, grade and clearance within the crane’s rated weight capacity and reach to place the building. Contractor shall make any required additional adjustments for access, clearance and support as needed once trucks and crane arrive on site.
C. Contractor shall coordinate with Supplier if transfer of buildings from highway legal trailers to short trailers is required, use of alternate cabs or use of a larger than normal crane or multiple cranes is advantageous compared to the required level of site preparation to bring highway trailers into the campground and include any such arrangements and costs within the scope of site preparation and delivery coordination.
4. Setup. Setup includes connection and hookup of water, sewer, and electric utilities from 12” above the top of the pad to the building and any incidental work as necessary to place the building into commission for its intended purpose.
5. Construct new concrete sidewalks as indicated on the drawings.
6. Provide and install outdoor shower stations, including all utility cutovers and drainage systems, as indicated on the drawings.
7. Installation and hook-up of new gravity sewer lines as shown on the drawings.
8. Connect building to any additional outlying utility lines as shown on drawings.
9. Final site clean-up and landscape restoration including restoring/adding topsoil, seeding, fertilizing and mulching of all areas disturbed by construction, and incidental related work including but not limited to replacement of signs, gates or landscaping materials temporarily removed for access or construction. .
1113.2 Schedule Requirements
