QUESTION RESPONSE

In Paragraph B.7(b)(1), it mentions that all of the additional equipment shall be FAA approved by TCDS or STC. Would a field approval be acceptable for the first aircraft?

See Amendment 0001 to the solicitation that authorizes some of the equipment to be installed via 8110 Field Approval.

the RFP specifies the paint colors, but does not outline the paint scheme. If we can get an idea of what you are looking for, scheme‐wise, we can more accurately propose that cost for you. Otherwise, we will assume something similar to the OAS/DOI scheme.

A current paint scheme will be posted for a Cessna 206 but offerors are encouraged to submit alternate paint schemes that would be appropriate for a government owned aircraft performing USFS flights.

3 Do you have an estimated/expected award date for the contract?

Award is estimated to be made within 90 days from the closing date of the solicitation. I believe closer to the 90th day would be our best estimate due to Agency review and approval requirements.

In Section B.6(d)(2), there are two options for the VHF‐FM radio. System 1 includes paragraph (3) which is a portable radio mount. This portable radio mount is not mentioned in the VHF‐FM System 2 requirements. Was this accidentally omitted? Or is that portable radio not a requirement if System 2 is installed?

VHF‐FM System 2 does not include the requirement for an Aux FM portable radio interface.

Therefore, the interface, mount and aux antenna required in B.6(d)(2)(ii)(B) are only required if the offeror elects to provide VHF‐FM System 1. This is intentional.

Is this third strobe light required if the wingtip strobe lights are certified to be viewable from the aft of the aircraft? Yes
