About this file

This Addendum No. 1 document issued by the Louisiana Office of State Procurement pertains to Invitation to Bid (ITB) RFx Number 3000026485 for grease trap cleanout services at the Louisiana Department of Corrections - Elayn Hunt Correctional Center. The primary change extends the bid opening date from August 4, 2026, to August 11, 2026, at 10:00 AM Central Time. The scope of work includes removal and legal disposal of grease and waste material from two 500-gallon grease traps on Unit 2, two 500-gallon grease traps on Unit 1, a 20-foot-deep manhole in the D-1 and D-2 kitchen area, and three lift stations approximately 30 feet deep. Services must be performed during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM, excluding weekends and holidays, on an as-needed basis. The contract term commences upon award and extends through June 30, 2027, with two optional 12-month renewal periods available at the state's discretion, for a maximum contract period of 36 months.

The addendum addresses four vendor inquiries regarding equipment specifications and capabilities. Vendors may utilize two separate trucks to meet the 3,500-gallon capacity requirement; however, the 3,000 PSI wand requirement cannot be substituted with lower-pressure equipment, as it is necessary for cleaning trash screens, tank floors, and walls. All suction hoses must be 4-inch diameter, not 3-inch. The state clarified that typical manhole contents include sewer, grease, and trash, though vendors should note that mud and other chemicals may also be present. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum or submit revisions prior to the new bid opening date of August 11, 2026. All revisions must be delivered by mail, hand delivery, courier, or fax to the Office of State Procurement at the specified address.

Addendum NO. 01

Your reference is directed to RFx Number 3000026485 for the Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the State of Louisiana - Grease Trap Cleanout - DOC-Elayn Hunt Correctional Center, which is currently scheduled to open at 10:00 AM CT on 08/04/2026.

The following change is to be made to the referenced solicitation:

RFx Currently Reads: Scheduled to open at 10:00 AM on August 4, 2026.

RFx Changed to Read: Scheduled to open at 10:00 AM on August 11, 2026.

The following are the Vendor’s Inquiries and the State’s Responses:

Vendor’s Inquiry #1: Does the truck have to be 3500 gallons, or can it be two separate trucks to meet the capacity? I have a 2300 gallon truck and an 1800 gallon truck for a total capacity of 4100 gallons.

State’s Response #1: There can be two separate trucks to meet the capacity requirements.

Vendor’s Inquiry #2: What will the 3500 psi wand be used for? I only have 70 psi of fresh water on one truck but have a pressure washer that can be brought in separately.

State’s Response #2: The wand is used for cleaning trash screens, tank floors and walls. Therefore, 70-psi will not be strong enough to complete these tasks.

Vendor’s Inquiry #3: I keep 3" suction hoses on my truck. Does it need to be 4" hoses?

State’s Response #3: Yes, the suction hoses will need to be 4” hoses.

Vendor’s Inquiry #4: What are the contents within the manhole? My trucks are only capable of pumping grease and sewage waste. I am not able to pump mud or other chemicals.

State’s Response #4: Sewer, grease and other trash are typical contents within a prison setting.

All else remains as on original Invitation to Bid.

This Addendum is hereby officially made a part of the referenced solicitation.
