About this file

This document is Addendum 2 for a Lawn Maintenance Services solicitation issued by Rowan-Cabarrus Community College in Salisbury, North Carolina, dated March 6, 2025. The contract covers lawn maintenance services for multiple campus locations, including North, South, CBTC, and Advanced Technology Center campuses, with bidders required to submit proposals via email by 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. The bid will be opened via a ZOOM meeting immediately after bid receipt, with two potential service options: a three-year term for battery-powered equipment and a one-year term for gas-powered equipment. Bidders are instructed to submit separate Attachment C pricing sheets for each equipment type.

The addendum provides clarification on bidding requirements and responds to various vendor questions, indicating that all contractual terms, conditions, deliverables, milestones, and performance expectations are outlined in the original Request for Proposal (RFP) documents. The solicitation appears to be a competitive procurement process with specific requirements for equipment type, pricing, and service delivery. While specific budget allocations are not detailed in this addendum, the document suggests a structured approach to selecting a lawn maintenance service provider with flexible options for equipment type and contract duration.

11. How do you prefer issues such as weather delays, special event requests, or urgent maintenance needs to be handled?

RESPONSE: Weather delays, special event requests, or urgent maintenance needs are outlined in the RFP documents.

12. First, I noticed that it states that a separate bid sheet should be submitted for battery powered and gas-powered pricing. Does that mean we should include a pricing sheet for each option within our proposal packet (meaning our packet would include two of Attachment C), or that we should submit a full bid packet with pages for each option? For the RFP, there is no specific requirement for either gas or battery proposals RESPONSE: If you would like to submit both, fill out two Attachment C sections. One for battery and one for gas. Each proposal should be either all battery (3-year term) or all gas (1-year term) as outlined in the RFP documents.

13. I was also wondering if we could see the bid pricing that was submitted for the last RFP in 2022. Since the state moved from IPS to EVP in 2023 we can no longer see those archived bids online.

RESPONSE:The terms and conditions for the contract bid are included in the RFP documents provided.
