About this file

This is Addendum #1 to SUNY Purchase College's Invitation for Bid (IFB) #990313 for Interior Painting Services, issued by the State University of New York on August 3, 2026. The addendum provides clarifications to the original IFB through a question-and-answer section addressing bidder inquiries. The scope of work encompasses interior painting services for college dormitories, apartment complexes, and other campus buildings under a three-year contract term. Sealed bids were due by 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, and a non-mandatory site visit was held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Facilities Management Building conference room on the Purchase College campus in Purchase, New York. Bids must be submitted as two signed paper copies in sealed packages and cannot be submitted electronically.

All bidders must complete required forms by hand and submit them with their proposal packages, including SUNY MWBE Forms 104 and 107, regardless of whether subcontractors have been selected. The painting work requires one primer coat and two paint coats, with colors provided by SUNY from Sherwin Williams. Work hours and project deadlines are determined on a per-job basis and typically include residential areas painted during summer months and academic buildings during fall and spring. The project is subject to New York State prevailing wage requirements under Prevailing Wage Case number PRC# 2026018427. SUNY Purchase will provide on-campus storage space; trailers are not permitted. Scaffolding and lift costs are quoted separately on a per-need basis, and SUNY assumes responsibility for any asbestos found on site. The College did not provide a proposed budget, expecting bidders to submit their best pricing, which will determine the final contract amount.
