About this file

This is Addendum 1 to RFP 2026298 for Non-Main Campus Landscaping Services issued by Forsyth Technical Community College in North Carolina. The addendum, dated July 15, 2026, modifies the original solicitation by revising specifications for litter and debris removal, pruning services, herbicide and soil additive applications, and seeding and watering requirements. Proposals are due July 21, 2026 at 2:00 PM ET, with a mandatory site visit scheduled for July 9, 2026 at 9:00 AM. Services will be provided at six designated non-main campus locations (Aviation Center, North West Center, Woodruff Center, West Campus Center, Transportation Center, and Swisher Center) for 40 weeks annually. The scope encompasses routine mowing, trimming, edging, litter removal, landscape maintenance with pruning and mulch application, turf health management with herbicide application, site-specific grounds clearing, and seasonal snow and ice abatement, with work hours from 7:00 AM until dusk. The resulting contract will have an initial one-year term with College options to renew for up to two additional one-year terms upon written notice at least 30 days before each term's end. Award is anticipated on or before July 30, 2026.

Key modifications clarify that vendors must remove all litter, debris, leaves, and foreign materials from landscaped areas and adjacent paved surfaces before commencing landscaping work; prune branches and limbs overhanging sidewalks, walkways, and pedestrian paths to maintain a minimum clearance of eight feet; and maintain all tree rings, shrub beds, and landscaped areas in a weed-free condition through appropriate herbicide applications and manual or mechanical removal at the vendor's expense. The addendum confirms that the total annual budget encompasses all routine services (Tasks 1-4), invoicing may occur monthly throughout the year without exceeding the annual amount, and vendors should contact the designated Grounds Supervisor for communication regarding special services and events. Parking lots must be blown off and cracks sprayed for weeds during regular service, and all debris, yard waste, and leaves must be removed and disposed of off-site. Proposers are required to use the revised Pricing Form 2026298 issued with this addendum, and failure to submit the amended attachment may result in the proposal being deemed non-responsive.
