About this file

This is Addendum 1 to a landscaping services solicitation issued by the Town of Smithfield, Virginia. The addendum modifies the original request for qualified contractors to provide comprehensive landscaping services at town-owned buildings and properties. The addendum clarifies scope requirements, service frequencies, and performance standards for landscape maintenance activities including grass cutting, edging, trimming, debris removal, and seasonal plantings. Specific details regarding service schedules, property locations, and performance metrics are outlined to ensure consistent maintenance standards across all town facilities. Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum in their proposals, and all terms specified herein supersede conflicting language in the original solicitation documents.

The addendum establishes service level expectations and may include modifications to pricing, contract duration, or performance requirements from the original solicitation. Contractors must demonstrate experience with municipal landscape maintenance and ability to maintain services on the specified schedule. The amendment ensures that all prospective bidders operate from uniform requirements and clarifies expectations regarding service quality, responsiveness, and compliance with town specifications prior to contract award.
