Q1. What are you looking for in the security hood? Do you have any references?
Response: Please see attached drawing and related presentation with photos.
Q2. Reading through the description of the hoods, I am imagining something that looks like a luggage cart on airport tarmacs. Is this along the lines of what you are looking for?
Response: Please see attached drawing and related presentation with photos.
Q3. Will the hoods be a sleeve that slides over the top or would you like it secured to the uprights and have a zipper or Velcro accessing?
Response: The hoods slide down from the top. Please see attached drawing and related presentation with photos.
Q4. Do the rods support the hood or are they used for something else?
Response: The rods span the uprights of the cart and support trays of printed sheets. They do not really interact with the hoods.
Q5. The previous ‘Stack and Rack: Cart and Security Hood’ solicitation specified the following: the powder coating of the Carts and the details of construction of the Security Hoods. Will this information be included?
Response: All relevant details of the hood construction are included in the current solicitation. The powder coating is specified on the cart drawing, specifically BEP drawing 55222AC sheet 1. It specifies “SURFACE TREATMENT: POWDER
COAT PER MIL-PRF-24712B, TYPE I, CLASS 4, FED STD 17038 (GLOSS
BLACK)”.
Q6. Concerning materials, would cold rolled 1008 be acceptable for the laser and formed parts?
Response: No, this material substitution is not allowed.
