About this file

This is Addendum #01 to Bid Invitation 10-26 issued by the New Hampshire Department of Administrative Services, Division of Procurement and Support Services, for a wheelchair lift replacement project at 33 North State Street in Concord, NH. The addendum clarifies critical specifications for the two wheelchair lifts required through this solicitation, which must have a 750-pound capacity, two-level travel, 93-inch travel distance, and passthrough cab configuration. The mandatory site visit was scheduled for August 8, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with bid closing at 1:30 PM on August 15, 2025. The successful bidder must complete delivery and installation by September 26, 2025, and provide a one-year warranty covering 100% of parts, shipping, labor, travel, lodging, and expenses.

The addendum addresses three critical clarifications regarding lift specifications: the lift is located in an interior space; however, the shaft is damp and susceptible to water intrusion, necessitating that the lift be rated for exterior use rather than interior use. This requirement supersedes previous specifications, as the current Savaria lifts failed due to their interior rating in this moisture-prone environment. The lift must be fire-rated. Bidders are required to be registered with the NH Bureau of Purchase and Property and the NH Secretary of State, provide certificates of insurance with $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate liability coverage, and submit comprehensive pricing including total labor and materials costs. Payment will be processed via ACH in two phases: upon removal of existing equipment and upon installation of new equipment, with invoices paid within 30 days of receipt and acceptance. Matthew Russell serves as the purchasing agent and can be contacted at NH.Purchasing@das.nh.gov.

ADDENDUM # 01 TO BID INVITATION 10-26

DATE AND TIME OF BID CLOSING: 8/15/2025 1:30 PM

FOR: Wheelchair Lift Replacement (Supply and Install)

Question 1: Is the lift on the exterior of the building or interior?

State Response: Interior

Question 2: A Shaftway model, where surround is by others can be fire-rated and may be better suited, depending on where this is located.

State Response: The lift should be fire rated.

Question 3: If an Enclosure model is needed, will they want a roof?

State Response: Although the lift is for an interior space, shaft is damp and susceptible to water intrusion which means that the lift should actually be rated for exterior use. The current Savaria lifts have rotted out as they had an interior rating.
