About this file

This document provides information on an upcoming federal dredging contract opportunity. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Savannah District is seeking information from potential contractors that can perform Fiscal Year 2023 maintenance dredging of the Savannah Inner Harbor in Georgia. Interested offerors must complete and submit the Point of Contacts information sheet by December 6, 2022. The scope of work involves furnishing personnel, equipment, and materials to dredge up to four million cubic yards of sediment from the deep draft navigation channel and turning basins. Dredged material will be placed in several upland confined disposal areas owned by state and local entities. The work must be completed within one year and is subject to environmental windows between April and October to protect fish and wildlife. Testing may be required to handle sediments containing elevated cadmium levels. Offerors must have the capability to dredge to depths over 70 feet below sea level and remove approximately 13,000 cubic yards per day in varying substrate conditions. This is not a solicitation but rather a sources sought notice to determine market research for a potential multi-million dollar contract award.
