About this file
This document is Addendum No. 1 to Quote 26-20-1 issued by St. Tammany Parish Procurement Department for the Lafitte Street Drainage project located in Covington, Louisiana. The addendum, dated July 13, 2026, modifies the original bidding documents by replacing Attachment G (Layout) with a revised version, replacing Attachment A (Unit Price Sheet and Project Specifications) with revised versions, and adding Attachment H (Sewer Layout) to the bid package. The project scope encompasses removal and replacement of collapsed or failed drainage culverts, installation of new catch basins, and removal and replacement of asphalt and concrete driveways and aprons to prevent shoulder erosion and preserve roadway edges. Work items include mobilization (1 lump sum), temporary signs and barricades (1 lump sum), removal of pipe (175 linear feet), 24-inch RCPA storm drain pipe installation (64 linear feet), 30-inch RCPA storm drain pipe installation (472 linear feet), catch basin installation (7 each of CB-02 type), concrete driveway removal and replacement (25 square yards), asphalt paving (30 tons), and slab sodding (300 square yards). The addendum clarifies that catch basins shall be CB-02 type, sewer tie-ins are at no direct pay, pipe lengths and catch basin elevations shall be field-fit, and no staging area will be provided by the owner. The contractor is responsible for coordinating with homeowners regarding driveway construction scheduling and maintaining two-way traffic throughout construction with flagmen at both work zone ends.
The addendum addresses seven bidder questions through a Questions and Answers section, confirming that revised specifications and layout plans are final, clarifying that shop drawings are not applicable to this project, and establishing that the contractor is responsible for homeowner coordination and compliance with Louisiana Standard Specifications for Roads and Bridges (2016 Latest Edition). All work shall conform to LADOTD standards, and contractors must field verify all quantities and measurements and locate and protect existing utilities. The document indicates this is a unit price contract with estimated quantities subject to verification by the owner, and actual payment will be based on verified quantities as determined by St. Tammany Parish Public Works Department personnel.
