About this file

This document is an Addendum (No. 2) issued by St. Tammany Parish Procurement Department for Bid #25-19-2, concerning the St. John Church Rd Bridge project. The addendum is dated June 26, 2025, with a bid due date of Tuesday, July 1, 2025. The document contains six questions and answers addressing various technical aspects of the bridge construction project, including precast pile confirmation, concrete formwork requirements, powerline relocation, resistivity testing, existing site conditions, and fence removal.

The addendum provides critical clarifications for potential bidders, including confirmation that only piles will be precast, powerlines will be relocated by WST after clearing, and no PE stamp is required for forming plans. Additional details reveal that existing concrete may be considered part of general excavation, and no new fence will be installed. Bidders are directed to reference Section 13 of the Project Sampling and Testing Plan for specific testing requirements. The document suggests the project involves bridge construction with specific site-specific challenges that require careful interpretation and planning by potential contractors.

Addendum No. 2

Bid#: 25-19-2

Project Name: St. John Church Rd Bridge

Bid Due Date: Tuesday, July 1, 2025

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS:

Question #1: Just wanted to reach out and ask if there was any precast in this project if any. If I could get an answer, it would be greatly appreciated.

Answer #1: Just the piles are precast.

Question #2: On sheet 102, notes under CONCRETE FORMWORK, is a PE Stamp required for the “Forming Plans”?

Answer #2: No, a PE stamp is not required on the “Forming Plans”.

Question #3: The powerlines appear to be in conflict with pile driving and form removal, even though the bridge is being located further away from the lines. Can they be de-energized or relocated?

Answer #3: Once the clearing is completed, they will be relocated by WST.

Question #4: Will resistivity testing be required on A1 concrete?

Answer #4: Please reference Section 13- Project Sampling and Testing Plan for the required test.

Question #5: Boring B-1 shows 3” existing asphalt and 7” concrete. What is the extent of the 7” concrete and shouldn’t there be a bid item for that work?

Answer #5: There may be a small amount of soil cement; it would fall under general excavation.

Question #6: There’s a bid item for Removal of Fence, but no new fence installation. Is that correct?

Answer #6: There is no new fence installation.
