About this file

This document contains questions and answers regarding a request for quotation for two cargo containers to temporarily store and process hardware. The RFQ is issued by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Shared Services Center. The containers must be delivered by March 23, 2024 to a concrete pad where they will be placed and moved as needed. The vendor will provide transportation to the site but no on-site support is required after delivery. The customer will purchase rather than lease the modified containers, which have no direct resale value once customized. The vendor needs only to deliver the containers and is not responsible for utility hookups.

• WSTF personnel shall evaluate and approve all material for compatibility with hypergolic propellant. Bids submitted without SDS’s or that use noncompatible material will be rejected.

o Can you provide feedback on the amount of detail you are looking for in our bid vs.

awarded contract?

▪ For example, we could provide safety data sheets for our spray foam insulation, epoxy floor coating, and exterior paint in our initial bid. But are you also looking for SDS for other items such as lights, EMT, galvanized Unistrut, light switches, screws, nuts, bolts, etc.?

▪ Spray foam, insulation, epoxy coating, paint, and any sealants used. Don’t need SDS for lights, EMT, Unistrut, etc.

• Period of Performance - Jan 22, 2024 through March 23, 2024 o Is March 23 mandatory? Or are you somewhat flexible where we can state alternative options?

▪ Product has to be delivered by March 23.

1. Containers need to be bolted together. This is not a permanent installation. Containers will moved and repurposed to support future projects.

2. As described in the SOW final assemble will be conduct by Onsite contractors. Containers will be placed on preexisting concrete pad.

3. SOW states the vendor needs to provide transportation to the site. Customer/WSTF will off load the containers and move them into their final location

a. i.e. onsite support from the vender is not required.

I. The description for these units states that it is for temporary storage ...These are modified units that don't have any direct resale value once modified, is this just a lease?

2. Are we required to hook up any utilities or just drop off

1) The customer will be purchasing the containers, not leasing them.

2) There is no indication in the SOW that you will need to hook up any utilities.
