Version 11-30-2016-1 FAR Part 11—Describing Agency Needs

STATEMENT OF WORK (SERVICES)

(SOW)

GENERAL INFORMATION

Title of Project:

NCATS Early Translation Branch (ETB) biology group requires a preventative maintenance visit for the Molecular Devices Fluorometric Imaging Plate Reader (FLIPR) Tetra+ high throughput screening machine

Statement of Need and Purpose:

Preventative maintenance is required for the Molecular Devices FLIPR Tetra+ system to ensure continued reliable operation, accurate signal detection, and consistent assay performance. Routine manufacturer-recommended service helps maintain instrument calibration, optical and fluidics performance, and overall system functionality, while reducing the risk of unexpected downtime, data variability, and costly repairs. This maintenance is necessary to support ongoing high-throughput cell-based assays and preserve the integrity of research results.

Background Information and Objective:

In ETB Biology, the Flipr is an essential took in validating targets, testing candidate compounds, comparing potency and efficacy, all of which help us decide which compounds should advance to more complex studies. This instrument has been out of service contract and not had a preventative maintenance since 2023.

Period of Performance:

This will be a one time visit for preventative maintenance.
