Questions and answers received against 73095201097 – Falcon Power Plant Intake Building Electrical Upgrade:

1. Question: The PWS states the following “The Contractor shall provide a diesel or gasoline power generator to provide temporary electrical service, temporary light fixtures, electrical extension cords, and trash containers, etc. to meet the requirements under this PWS”. Can we use the existing generator on the Intake building for temporary power?

Answer: The existing generator can be used. The contractor will be responsible to provide diesel if the electrical outage is more than 72 hours. Otherwise, the IBWC will provide the diesel since generator has to be run frequently.

2. Question: The PWS states the following “The contractor is responsible for conducting business between the hours of 7:00 AM thru 3:30 PM, Monday thru Friday”. Must probably there will be days that we will need to work overtime to finish critical tasks, is the contractor responsible for IBWC overtime and/or how many days in advance do we need to let IBWC know to be able to work overtime?

Answer: Based on experience in previous contracts, the contractor shall inform the IBWC 1 day in advance to let us know if they need to work after regular working hours. The IBWC will take advantage of the outage to work on other tasks and be there working as well, therefore, the contractor will not be required to pay OT for IBWC employees.

3. Question: What is the Government estimate of construction range?

Answer: This is being solicited as a service and therefore a construction range is not provided.

4. Question: Is there an SF1442 to submit the pricing, and can the bid be emailed?

Answer: There is no SF1442. A pricing sheet is attached in this solicitation.

5. Question: Is a bid bond required?

Answer: A bid bond is not required.
