About this file

This document is an amendment to a solicitation for a federal contract opportunity to replace underwater members at a covered moorings facility. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, disposal, supervision, and related work to perform structural repairs to the covered mooring floating dock located at U.S. Coast Guard Base Boston. The scope of work includes a complete underwater inspection and report, and replacing nine underwater steel bracings, bolt connections, and brackets. The specifications are provided in a 70-page document along with seven sheet drawings. Bids are due by March 5, 2024 at 2:00PM. The amendment provides responses to bidder questions, clarifying that structural verification is the contractor's responsibility if built per plan, underwater welds require a certified welder who is also a diver, all weld inspections can be done after completion, and as-built drawings require professional engineering stamp.
