About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for the USCGC FREDERICK HATCH FY25 dry dock maintenance contract that addresses three contractor inquiries. The document clarifies that tandem lift methods are not acceptable for drydocking the vessel, confirms that repairs will take place at the Contractor's Facility rather than Naval Base Guam, and explains that the Heavy Lift Equipment requirement (Paragraph 3.3.9) specifies 24 total hours of crane and forklift support for the ship's crew's miscellaneous use during the Period of Performance (POP).

The document specifically notes that the 24 hours of heavy lift support is intended for crew activities like removing lines, small boats, and materials, and is not meant to be 24 hours per day or associated with the main work items in the contract package. This Q&A supplements the main solicitation for dry dock maintenance work scheduled for March 25 - July 22, 2025.
