Response to Vendor Submitted Questions CROCODILE DD FY23 Solicitation: 70Z08023QPBPL0016

WORK ITEM 30: Grey Water Piping, Clean and Flush “3.5.6 In the event that hydroblasting alone does not clean piping to required conditions, Contractor must use chemical cleaning methods.”

Is chemical cleaning viable for equitable adjustment if required or should contractor bid to perform both hydro blast and chemical clean?

The contractor should submit an estimate to hydro clean the pipes and if the hydro cleaning does not work, submit a change request to chemically clean the pipes.

WI 38 Seawater Cooling Piping/Valves Renew Task#1 requires replacement of 5 Linear feet of piping and associated fittings.

Is the 5ft to be replaced a single pipe run?

Are associated fittings known so accurate pricing can obtained?

No, it is not a single pipe run. Yes, there are fittings that will need to be replaced. All the information for the 5 linear feet of piping and fittings on the discharge side of the AC raw water pump can be found on Coast Guard Drawing 87 WPB 256-001, Rev AC, Seawater Cooling Piping and Coast Guard Drawing 87 WPB 514-001, Rev M, HVAC Duct & Piping System.

Which size fan is currently installed in the Lazarette onboard USCGC Crocodile?

The fan we have is 250CFM blower, Jabsco Model # 36760-0115.
