Questions (1)

Answers provided 5 May 2021

This document provides United States Coast Guard (USCG) responses for questions that have been asked regarding solicitation 70Z03821QJ0000155. Question numbers are provided simply as a reference and in no way infer a prioritization of the questions.

Number Question USCG Response

1 Our company is an established vendor for the USCG and just supplied information back and forth for the ROM. Is our company exempt from an additional NDA?

No. All vendors are required to provide a signed

NDA agreement.

2 For the ROM, the USCG agreed fabric and

Velcro would be customer supplied

20 yards of the required fabric will be supplied by ALC as Government Furnished Property, however the Velcro will not be supplied.

3 The ROM had revenue for tooling NRE.

There was no mention of that on the solicitation. Is tooling supposed to be at the vendor’s expense?

The NRE fee can either be processed as a separate line item or the tooling costs can be incorporated into the First Article. Tooling will not be at the vendor’s expense.

4 Are the panels flexible or are they structural?

The panels are not structural. They are simply panels which cover open flight control areas and prevent FOD from entering. They are fairly rigid

(not flexible) but are NOT structural.

5 Is there a preferred bonding method for the blue Nomex or would you prefer it be established?

Glued with a SS9230 Type 1 adhesive, in this case we would use EC1357.

6 Is there a preferred method for adhesion of the hooks or would you prefer it be established?

Same as with the Nomex material: Glued with a

SS9230 Type 1 adhesive, in this case we would use EC1357.
