Questions and Answers:

Q. First is the multi-voltage selector, usually this is found on mobile units. The only way for us to accomplish this is the purchase of a mobile unit and mount it securely at the location.

-Coast Guard is requesting a generator with an aluminum sound attenuated enclosure (see: SOW, section VIII part 3) with an aluminum sub base with forklift pockets allowing us to move it from its stationary location for any emergency event (see: SOW, section VIII part 5).

Second is the fuel tank. I don’t know of anyone that offers stainless or aluminum tanks on there system. We have the double walled, and have always lasted the life of the generator. In our quote, we will have to quote with exception.

-Due to the salt air environment on the island, Coast Guard is requesting a sub base fuel tank that is double walled aluminum or stainless steel and a capacity of at least 150 gallons and with leak detection and fuel level gauges (see: SOW, section VIII part 4).

Third is a question about connectivity. Is this generator going to supply l back-up power to a building and optional plugs. It appears that you might want to just power a panel with outlets for different cords to be connected at option.

This generator will be suppling back up power to a building. Coast Guard is requesting 400AMP rated CAM docking station with disconnect protection with female connector with covers to tie into the emergency panel (see: SOW, section VIII part 8). We are also looking for the option with duplex receptacles. (see: SOW, section VIII, part 9)

If it is to do both a building and the optional voltages to a panel with voltage selection, then a 2 way through switch would be needed to ensure the building always received the correct voltage.
