70T04021Q7672N003-Amendment-1:
Vendor Questions/Comments and TSA Responses
1 Comment: The EDS quantity in the pricing sheet (24) and Section A.6 (24) does not match the quantity in the table in Section A.8 (23).
TSA Response: Per Amendment 0001, the Section A.8 table has been corrected to update the number of MSEDS needed at Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (to equal 24). The pricing template and Section A.6 are correct with up to twenty-four (24) MSEDS required under this contract.
2 Question: Section B.1.1 states “In addition, as a part of this contract, the contractor must provide all ancillary materials not already procured as Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).” What ancillary equipment is being referenced please?
TSA Response: This refers to all tools/materials vendor technicians require to complete the installation and warranty maintenance of the equipment purchased under this contract.
3 Question: Section B.1.2 states “Support services covered under the STSS Contract.
The STSS contract will have expired prior to equipment delivery under this contract.” Does TSA intend to extend the existing STSS contract?
TSA Response: Please see the RFQ Amendment 0001 which updates current STSS language to general fleet management language. General fleet management language refers to the current STSS or any other future fleet management support contract that TSA might put into place.
4 Question: (Section B.2.2) Can TSA identify the version/date of the procurement Specification for checked Baggage Screening Technology EDS?
TSA Response: Please see the RFQ Amendment 0001 with the updated procurement specification version.
5 Question: (Section B.3.3.2.1) – “Unless otherwise specified, the Contractor is not responsible for the structural analysis of the airport. Note: This may include limited support post 100% Design approval, prior to installation commencing.”
a. At what point would TSA specify this is the Contractors responsibility?
b. Should this be priced in a specific CLIN?
TSA Response: See Amendment 0001 for updated language in the SOW Section B.3.3.2.1.
The Contractor may be requested to provide recommendations and feedback, but is not responsible for the structural analysis. All efforts regarding the support listed in section B.3.3.2.1 should be included in CLIN 0003 as identified in the SOW.
6 Question: (Section B.3.4.2) - “If the individual airport has required services included in the SOW that requires permits, companies with special qualifications and licenses, etc., Contractor shall provide such requirements.”
a. Can TSA provide clarification?
b. Should be this priced in a specific CLIN?
TSA Response: This language has been deleted. Please see the RFQ Amendment 0001.
