Shredding Services

Q-Has this requirement been considered for a SDVOSB SET-ASIDE in accordance with 38 U.S. Code §8127?
A – Insufficient information was available through market research to determine this acquisition tobe a good candidate for SDVOSB set-aside opportunities.
Q-Will priority consideration be given to Service Disabled and Veteran Owned Business in accordancewith 38 U.S.C 8128 (Small business concerns owned and controlled by veterans: contractingpriority)
A – See response above.
Q-Is this a new requirement? If not, what is the specific contract award # that awarded it previously?

A- The current task order number is HSSCCG-15-F-00009.

Q- If this is not a new requirement, how were the documents being destroyed previously?

A- Through services provided through task order HSSCCG-15-F-00009.

Q- Were the last payments paid with a Credit Card?

A- No.

Q-If this is not a new requirement, who is the contractor performing the services currently? And whatis the dollar amount paid to the current contractor for the last 12 months?
A- The current vendor is Shred-It. Additional task order information can be found through FPDS-NG.
QIs the shredding currently being performed by the prime contractor or the prime contractor’s a sub-contractor?
A- There is no sub-contractor for the current requirement.
Q-Who is the prime contractor? If the prime contractor is using a sub-contractor; what is the name ofthe sub-contractor?

A- Please see above.

Q- When does the current contract end?

A- The current task order expires on 9/30/2018.

Q-Can you confirm that there will be a total of 76 containers shredded each week? While that is whatappears to be indicated in the SOW on page 3, 5.2. However, on page there is a slight “hedge” onpages 1 & 2 under 5 – specific requirement/task where it says “up to 37” and “up to 39” respectivelyfor the two locations. We need to know this in order to price, or at least to price a minimum numberwith additional at a “per container” price.
A – The requirement is for 76 containers between two locations. Although weekly bin counts mayvary, the fixed price per month will be based on the maximum number of bins.
Q-Related to that is the question of how you would like us to bid. I see in the 2nd attachment you arelooking for a monthly price, which would indicate a set number of containers, so maybe your answerabove will clarify this too.
A – The government anticipates award of a fixed price order to be invoiced monthly.

Q- Finally, is this work currently under contract and if so, who is the vendor and what is the contract number? Also, is the scope of work for this solicitation 70SBUR18Q00000520 comparable to the work being done under the current contract?

A – See response above regarding current task order information. The scope is similar to the previous order.
