SOFTWARE: This contract is for the purchase of hardware. If your purchase of the hardware includes any software, NDIT will need to review the software. Depending on the software being purchased, there are some product specific terms that may need to be negotiated between the purchasing entity and the contractor. If your intended purchase of these products is less than $1,000 per item, N.D.C.C. § 32-12.2-15 includes a provision that allows agencies to purchase routine or standardized products that cost less than $1,000 containing terms in shrink wrap documents, third-party end user license, or click-through agreements that are not consistent with limitation of liability laws after consultation with the Attorney General and the Office of Management and Budget Risk Management. NDIT review would still be required in this situation.
THIRD-PARTY HARDWARE: If purchasing third-party hardware from one of the contractors, the purchasing agency must review the terms and conditions of the third-party product.
LIMITS FOR PURCHASES: The dollar limits identified below are based on a SINGLE computer configuration (combination of hardware and software components that make up the total functioning system.) This is NOT a restriction on the purchase of multiple configurations (e.g. an entity could purchase 10 laptops @ $10,000 for a total purchase price of $100,000).

NDIT Managed Print Services NDIT is shifting agencies to Managed Print Services (MPS) with Hewlett Packard (HP). Agencies can enroll their devices. The intent is to have most agencies that receive End User Computer & Collaborate Services (Desktop Support) from NDIT integrated by July 1, 2023.
The project will allow HP to manage the printer fleet. Items managed by the vendor will be printers, ink, toner, maintenance, repairs and customer support. Each participating agency will be individually billed directly from HP for cost per page to print. Ink cartridges in the supply closet will be a thing of the past as the vendor will see real time data letting them know when to ship needed supply to agency.
It does not include high capacity print jobs, which is the responsibility of Central Duplicating.
More communication about this new MPS from ITD can be found here: https://www.ndit.nd.gov/services/infrastructure/managed-print-services
