About this file

This document contains questions and answers from an advertisement for New Mexico Federal Lands Access Program Project Number NM FLAP 152(1), involving the replacement of two bridges on NM 152. The project includes replacing two single-lane truss bridges built in 1929 with new, wider bridges designed to accommodate two lanes of traffic as well as pedestrians, equestrians and bicyclists. A notice to proceed is anticipated in late October/early November. All rock from excavation measuring 27 cubic feet or smaller must be salvaged and transported to the New Mexico Department of Transportation maintenance yard in Hillsboro. An offsite testing laboratory is acceptable subject to approval, but the contractor cannot set up jobsite offices or facilities at the NMDOT yard or within existing rights-of-way due to space limitations.
