About this file
This is a shipping requirements document from Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) in Georgia, applicable to their procurement of Chromebooks and other goods through their Property Warehouse. The document establishes mandatory delivery procedures and packaging standards for all vendors supplying products to GCPS. Deliveries are accepted between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and vendors must schedule appointments by calling 770-822-6535. All shipments require the GCPS purchase order number—not the vendor's internal PO—displayed on packing lists, freight bills, bills of lading, and shipping labels. Vendors arranging drop shipments directly from manufacturers remain responsible for ensuring compliance with all stated requirements.
All shipments must be stretch-wrapped on industry-standard 40" x 48" four-way skids or pallets with a maximum height not exceeding 7 feet 6 inches. Individual cartons and packages must display manufacturer item identification numbers and quantities clearly on the exterior, with all labels facing outward for easy identification. Mixed cartons require explicit labeling indicating their contents. Oversized items must also be palletized, and any deviations from the standard 40" x 48" four-way pallet specifications require prior written approval from the GCPS Property Distribution Manager. Non-compliance or unsatisfactory shipment quality may result in rejection and return at the vendor's expense, with repeated violations potentially leading to bid termination and removal from GCPS's approved vendor list.

Property Warehouse Shipping Requirements
Deliveries are received 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., M-F. Call 770-822-6535 for an appointment.
1. The GCPS PO number (not your PO number to your supplier) should be listed on all packing lists, freight bills, bill of lading, shipping labels, etc. If you plan to drop ship from the manufacturer, or other supplier, it is your responsibility to be sure these shipping requirements are met.
2. All shipments must be stretch wrapped on skids/pallets as follows:
3. All cartons/packages must have manufacturer’s item id and quantity clearly labeled on the outside of each carton including mixed cartons. All labels must be facing outwards so all cartons can be easily read.
4. All mixed carton must be clearly labeled. Ex; Mixed items, Partial box, etc.
5. Shipments must be on industry standard 40” X 48” 4-way skids/pallets and the maximum height must not exceed 7’ 6” high. Oversized items must be on skids/pallets as well. GCPS must approve skids/pallets other than 40” X 48” 4-way.
6. Any exceptions must be approved in writing by the GCPS Property Distribution Manager.
If any of these requirements are not met or not satisfactory to GCPS, GCPS reserves the right to refuse shipment and have the shipment returned at the vendor’s expense and reshipped correctly. Any Vendor violating the “GCPS Shipping Requirements” repeatedly may result in bid termination and/or removal of vendor from our approved vendor list.
