2. The building’s DDC is an open BACNet compatible system with a Tridium Niagara framework and Distech components. It is a flexible open architecture that will accept components from any manufacturer supporting an open protocol. An operator workstation/user interface that provides for management of building wide system operations such as alarms and overrides, is located in the penthouse.
Is there a place to leave either a truck or shipping container on site during the job for materials that will not affect security or
A staging area suitable for new materials and some contractor equipment will be provided during construction. Space is somewhat limited depending on the travel season and snowfall, so demolished materials traffic. Also what are the security requirements for this?
shall be removed promptly. HSPD12 security requirements must be met and CBP vetting will be required.
Are there any specifications for temporary cooling/heating during the job? Does the temp cooling/heating need outside make up air or is it just for temperature control? Also will mobile units in space be sufficient and does GSA already have these in their system for use or will it be in the job bid?
The facility must remain operational throughout the project. Outside make-up air should be provided as much as possible, however GSA will allow up to 10 working days (facility open) with no outside make-up air. GSA can provide up to 3 temporary 120 volt 1.1 ton air conditioners with ducting for temporary cooling if needed, however, the contractor is responsible for installing and removing the temporary ductwork.
What is required to remove ceilings in holding areas if necessary? How many do they have to keep operational at one time?
Holding area ceilings should not require removal for this project. If needed, access is available from above.
