About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for Series 60 cylinder head replacement services on a U.S. Coast Guard 45-foot Response Boat Medium (hull #45603). The work will be performed at USCG Station San Key in Clearwater, Florida, and requires a commercial diesel technician with extensive MTU/Detroit Diesel certification and training. The SOW specifies 15 detailed work steps including draining coolant, removing and reinstalling the cylinder head, replacing gaskets and related components, and performing engine testing and sea trials upon completion. The technician must provide labor and consumable parts, with the government furnishing the cylinder head, gasket kit, and associated components. All work must comply with MTU technical requirements for torque specifications, valve adjustment, and injector timing.

This effort is being procured as a small business set-aside firm fixed-price purchase order through the U.S. Coast Guard's Surface Forces Logistics Center under Solicitation Number 52000PR260025905. Quotes will be evaluated based on three factors: technical capability to perform the specified services, relevant past performance history, and fair and reasonable pricing. Interested vendors should submit quotations via email to the Contracting Officer, Joshua Richardson, at Joshua.C.Richardson2@uscg.mil with the solicitation number in the subject line. The Contracting Officer's Representative is Michael McHale. The engine specifications include NSN 2895-01-590-73017 and serial number 06R1060712.
