About this file

This document is a site visit requirement notification for the Daniel Miller Stream Restoration project managed by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection or related state agency in Lancaster County. The project involves streambank stabilization and restoration work on 2,090 feet of the Daniel Miller Stream located at 376 Goat Hill Road, Peach Bottom, Pennsylvania 17563 in Fulton Township. The scope of work requires furnishing all materials, equipment, supplies, and labor to implement streambank stabilization using multiple Best Management Practices (BMPs) and natural channel design principles as outlined by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission's "Habitat Improvements for Trout Streams" guidelines. The project also includes enhancement and management of the existing riparian buffer in the floodplain and adjacent wetlands to support long-term stabilization and sediment reduction objectives. An on-site visit is mandatory for prospective bidders to evaluate project conditions and site-specific requirements prior to preparing their proposals.

The document emphasizes that an on-site inspection is a required component of the bidding process for this restoration contract. Bidders must conduct this visit to gain firsthand understanding of the stream conditions, terrain, existing vegetation, and project scope before submitting their bids. This requirement ensures that all prospective contractors have accurate information regarding site accessibility, material delivery constraints, and the technical complexity of implementing the restoration work across the designated streambank segments.
