Vendor Questions

1. Since the dampers are fusible link are there any that are automated?

o No.

2. Why does the solicitation say 160 fusible links and springs on pricing schedule?

o These are components of the dampers that may need replacing when inspecting.

3. Is this an estimate of the amount needing to be replaced?

o Yes, this is an estimate.

4. Are they connected to the main fire alarm control panel?

o Yes.

5. Is a USB drive acceptable for the electronic copy of photographs?

o No, photographs must be transferred to a compact disc in order to be compatible with

VA computers and security regulations.

6. Is a lift needed for the difficult to access dampers?

o Yes, some will require a lift or other device to access.
