The purpose of this amendment is to change the location of the site visit meet-up location and to answer questions asked by interested vendors.

The site visit meet up location is changed to BQ-105. Vendors interested in attending must inform the COR, Tobe Okoro, via email at tobechukwu.okoro@va.gov prior to the site visit of their intent to attend.

Refer to the following pages and attachments for question and answers to questions asked.

There are no other changes to this solicitation. Bids must be submitted by 11:59pm on January 16, 2024.

Vendor Questions

1. In Section 2: A-1-o Do you have an outline of a previous plan to build out for the safety plan?

We do not have a previous plan. The contractor is responsible for creating the project-specific safety plan.

o How high are the ceilings that temporary Scaffolding may need to be utilized?

Please attend the site visit as ceiling heights vary. The Contractor shall coordinate with the local COR where required.

2. In Section 2: A-2- Is OSHA 10 or 30 required?

o To work in the VA, Superintendents/Competent Person/Supervisor must have OSHA 30 and Contract Personnel must have OSHA 10.

3. Section 2: A-3- Do you have the confined space policy that is able to be sent for review?

o Yes, see attached.

4. Section 2: B-1 Are the timelines negotiable?

o Contract requirement is that work must be completed within 180 calendar days from date of contract award. Contractor is more than welcome to finish early if possible.

5. Our software can capture all the information on the damper inspections sheet. If all the information on the sheet is provided in the report is the damper sheet also needed to be filled out?

o Yes, for uniformity of reports we must file the damper sheet must also be provided.

6. Can you provide photos of the different types of access categories?

o Easy; Moderate; and Difficult

No, photos cannot be provided currently. Please attend the site visit to determine ease of access.

7. Do you have current Life Safety Plans that can provide the location of each damper?

o Only the life safety drawings can be provided. See attached.

8. Are the dampers labeled on the grids on ceilings?

o Yes

9. Will HEPA cart be required in the facility? Yes o If yes, will the facility be providing the HEPA cart?

The vendor needs to provide their own HEPA cart to use.

o If yes, what percentage of the facility is HEPA cart use required?

Any place that’s in a patient care area.

10. Do you have a copy of your previous damper reports you can provide us?

o No, not at this time.

11. Will our technicians need to be escorted by maintenance personnel at all times?

o The COR will assist with escorts as needed.

12. Will we have the ability to work nights and weekends?

o Yes, with proper coordination with the COR. Majority of work is to be conducted during normal business hours. Overtime work must first be coordinated.

13. What on boarding requirements can we complete prior to arrival to fast track our team and get your project started?

o Have OSHA requirements complete.
