This training should include aircraft familiarization systems, and job specific duties related to avionics and power plant. The use of such training aids as mockups, simulators and computer based training enhances maintenance training efforts, and is desired. Initial and recurrent training requirements and frequency are established for each operator as outlined by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Advisory Circular (AC) 120-42. All maintenance employees must be in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) Part 43.
