About this file
This is Amendment 0001 to a Request for Quote (RFQ) for hazardous, universal, and pharmaceutical waste disposal services at Jonathan Wainwright Memorial Veterans Medical Center (Walla Walla) in Walla Walla, Washington. The amendment was issued by NCO 20 Network Contracting Office on April 20, 2026, under solicitation number 36C26026Q0522.
The amendment extends the solicitation closing date to April 27, 2026, at 09:00 PST (with receipt of offers extended to April 28, 2026, at 09:00 PDT). The primary purpose of this amendment is to address two vendor questions and provide clarifications on scope. Regarding pharmaceutical waste, the contractor must provide 55-gallon polyurethane containers for pharmaceutical waste disposal only; sharps container provision is not required. For universal waste services, the contractor is responsible for pickup and disposal of small batteries (Alkaline, Li, Li-ion, Ni-MH, Ni-CD) in 5-gallon screw-top containers provided by the contractor at the main facility, and light bulbs in pre-containerized boxes provided by the facility. However, large batteries (lead acid, sealed lead acid, Li, Li-ion, Ni-MH, Ni-CD) are handled separately by Tri-Cities Battery in Pasco, Washington and are not part of this contract. All other terms and conditions of the original solicitation remain unchanged.
