STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)
Background The Eastern Oklahoma Veterans Health Care System requires the outfitting and installation of an entire Dental Lab for the new Tulsa Health Care Center that is currently under construction. Due to the current Dental Clinic’s lab equipment lifecycle only being two years old, some equipment will need to be moved from the current clinic and be reutilized in the installation of the new lab clinic at the Tulsa Health Care Center. This is a brand-name request.
Description This is a need for a fully functional Dental Lab that includes, but is not limited to, Dental Lab cabinetry with appropriate finishes that will have to be customized to fit our space and equipment that will be used in the space. Cabinetry will include power outlets strategically placed to accommodate the equipment and space as well. Some sinks will need to be provided as well as specific plumbing for different types of equipment as well as eye wash stations which are strategically placed. Lab benches that have integrated dust collectors and model trimmers. Station 623 requires Nevin Dental Lab cabinetry moved and installed to outfit the new Tulsa Health Care Center (THCC) Dental Lab. Some of the existing equipment and cabinetry will be moved from the current Tulsa Dental Clinic to the new THCC on or around February 15, 2021. These items are identified on the Nevin Old Location Layout attachment with a red diagonal mark. The additional new cabinetry/equipment will be built with our new needs and existing cabinetry in mind. The cabinetry/equipment is used in the Dental Lab to create and modify dental appliances for patients. This Nevin Dental Lab cabinetry will have specific items like sinks, suction, air, gas, outlets and special connections for different types of lab equipment. We need cabinetry /equipment that is designed specifically for our dental lab and will include some pieces from our current Nevin cabinetry/equipment.
The Nevin Old Location Layout attachment identifies the items to be moved from the old location to the new location. The Nevin New Location Layout illustrates the configuration of the new location that includes new items as well as the items moved from the old locations.
The chosen vendor must be authorized to move specific pieces of the current Nevin lab to the new THCC and install new Nevin cabinetry/equipment around existing cabinetry/equipment. This must be performed in order to make as much of the current lab fit into the new and match with new equipment to the existing Dental Lab to meet the design needs of the new Dental Lab.
More detailed requirements can be found in the attached drawings that outline specifically what is needed to outfit the entire Dental Lab to meet the Dental Clinic’s specifications and needs. The attachment titled Nevin Old Location Layout illustrates the existing laboratory. Items marked with a red slash indicate items that will be moved to and installed at the new location. The attachment titled Nevin New Location Layout describes how the pre-existing and new cabinetry will be designed in the new location.
