ADDENDUM

Project: MRI Temporary Covered Walkway Date: 08/20/2018

Project Number: 442-18-014S Addendum Number: 2

The following changes, additional and/or deletions are hereby made a part of the Construction Documents for the above noted project, fully and completely as is the same were fully contained therein. All other terms, conditions, and specification of the original documents remain unchanged.

Questions and Answers:

• Q: The drawings show caulking the joint between the existing buildings and walkway, it was discussed changing to a compressible expansion joint materials. Please confirm and provide What type of expansion joint is needed between the walkway the existing building?

A: RE: Addendum 1. “Provide a 2” compression seal in a standard color (brown or beige preferably) in the gap between the covered walkway and the existing buildings. Reference the revised Site & Floor Plan on A101.”

Compression Seal to be pre-compressed secondary sealant using preformed expanding foam sealant; open-call polyurethane foam impregnated with polymer-modified acrylic adhesive.

• Q: Is there an expansion coupling required for the electrical and sprinkler pipe between the two buildings?

A: Not unless deemed necessary by the contractor. The hangers in the covered walkway should provide enough play to accommodate small amounts of movement between the two structures.

• Q: The new sidewalk is shown to cut across the edge of detention pond, is the sidewalk to be moved outside the detention pond?

A: RE: Addendum 1. “The sidewalk has been revised. Reference the revised Site & Floor Plan on A101.”

• Q: There is an existing light on the exterior of the MRI building and it conflicts with the walkway. Do we remove the light and install it on the covered walkway?

A: RE: Addendum 1. “Relocate light per the revised Electrical Plan on A101.”

• Q: Note #22 calls out providing Hollow Metal Stainless Steel doors, is this correct, or should they be standard Hollow metal frames and doors with a window.

A: Reference the revised General Note 22 on A101. Provide standard hollow metal doors and frames with a half laminated glass window.

• Q: There is not a ceiling, drywall or paint called out for the interior of the walkway is this correct?

A: Correct, the finished project is a framed structure with no ceiling or finished walls. The framing shall be completed in a clean manner that has the ability to be drywalled in the future and not leave any sharp points from screws, nails, etc. exposed.

• Q: What type of hardware is needed for the doors?

A: Reference Door Hardware information added to sheet A100.

Clarification items and other changes included in the Addendum 2:

1. A101: Roof Framing Plan: Built-up beam upsized from 3-2x8 to 3-2x10.
