RFQ 36C25624Q0181 – Fuel Tank Cleaning Services

Questions #2

How clean do you want the tanks?

Clean the fuel and tanks the way it is written in the SOW by filtering the fuel and adding chemicals to remove build up on the tank walls. When the fuel is completely filtered, then it would be clean. We are not emptying the tanks and washing them out.

What do you want us to do with the fuel?

Concentrated areas of sludge, water, or dirty fuel will be removed by pumping it out. The offeror will be required to dispose of that. Once the majority of the solids or contaminated fuel is out, the fuel is circulated through a filter system and back into the tank. We will not need to remove the fuel from the tanks. The offeror will be polishing the fuel and removing contaminants and trash through the filters. Chemicals will be added to kill any microorganisms or algae growth inside the tanks and remove any sludge buildup on tanks walls or floor.
