Statement of Work
Clean Room Fixture Replacements
VA Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System
JACC Pensacola, FL 32507
Scope of Work
The awarded Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and supervision necessary to safely perform all work associated with JACC Clean Room Fixture
Replacements. This work shall be performed at the VA JACC, Pensacola.
Background
These rooms are patient care and a critical area for services provided at the facility. These rooms provide the sole location for preparing specific medications (chemotherapies, and other infusions) that be mixed in a safe, sterile environment. Rooms are inspected on a bi-annual basis for compliance with
USP and VA standards. During the last inspection in March 2023, it was noted that the HEPA filters were at the end of their useable life and were approaching replacement. The light fixtures must be removed to access these filters and we are taking the opportunity to replace these light fixtures. This prevents any opening of the room envelope in the near future and prevents any additional infection control risks or equipment reliability concerns. Deficiencies noted are required to be corrected prior to September
2023 for rooms to maintain USP 797/800 and VA certification and continue operation.
