About this file
This document contains a justification and approval for other than full and open competition for a federal contract opportunity to replace an animal research facility at a Department of Veterans Affairs medical center. The project involves constructing 22,000 square feet of new wet labs and administrative spaces and integrating new finishes, plumbing, HVAC, electric, technology, HVAC controls, fire alarm, and security devices. The estimated value is between $5 million and $10 million.
The justification cites that the acquisition requires Avigilon closed circuit television video servers and cameras to integrate with the facility's existing Avigilon CCTV system. The solicitation will be set aside solely for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses when issued on or around October 16, 2019, with proposals due approximately 30 days later. The North American Industry Classification System code assigned is 236220 for commercial and institutional building construction.
