REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)

PROJECT NUMBER: 610-16-105 Please ensure that before submitting questions or requests for clarification that you thoroughly read the solicitation, specifications, drawings and other pertinent documents. When submitting questions on this project the Government requires contractors to specifically identify the specification and/or solicitation section(s) or drawing number(s) in reference to the question or request for clarification submitted. No question or request for clarification will be answered by the Government unless the above requirements are met. Failure to comply may prevent the Government from responding in a timely manner.

1. On page GI‐003, Comment C5 states temporary power will be fed into DP1, DP2, DP3. What is the rating on these panels for sizing the generator for this building? Refer to partial single line diagram on sheet 138.ED100 for answer.
2. General Question: During the site visit, it was noted that several of the buildings had low occupancy or infrequent use such as the Church and theater. Which buildings can be schedule to do the work without using an emergency generator and how long will the shutdown be allowed for? Refer to phasing plan on sheet GI003 and coordinate all shutdowns with COR prior to construction.
3. General Question: Please confirm we should provide temporary fencing around the temporary generators. The contractor shall be responsible for all safety procedures and measurements pertaining to construction items, including temporary items.
4. General Question: Should sales tax be included in our bid?
5. General Question: Are there any PCB’s expected in any of the transformers? The AE is not aware of any PCB’s in the transformers being removed.
6. Drawing 138.ED100 ‐ Notes 3‐6 detail the breakers to fit existing, but they don't say who is the manufacturer for panel
EEDP (Note 3). Please advise. Note 3 on sheet 138.ED100 states the panel is manufactured by FPE
7. Drawing 138.ES100, Can the Main Gear Switchboard depth be increased to 36" as long as NEC clearance compliance is maintained in the room? Yes, but the recommendation would be to field verify all equipment in the room, prior to ordering equipment, to ensure NEC clearances will be met.

8. Drawing 138.ES100, is it acceptable to mount the TVSS for the Main Gear Switchboard internally? This will lower the clamping voltage and increase performance of the TVSS. No, refer to specification section 26 43 13 for requirements.
9. Drawing 138.ES100, is it acceptable to provide the 80% rated 1600A breaker in section 2 of the Main Gear Switchboard as a 1200A 100% rated breaker, and help reduce the footprint of the lineup? No, provide the 1600A breaker as specified.
10. Safety ‐ 01 35 26, Section 1.7, site safety and Health officer (SSHO) and competent person (CP). Can the SSHO and CP be the same person? Contractor to coordinate with COR.
11. Safety ‐ 01 35 26, Section 1.7, If so, can they fill collateral duties as the site supervisor? Contractor to coordinate with
COR.
12. Safety ‐ 01 35 26, Section 1.7, Does the SSHO need to be present whenever work is being performed? Contractor to coordinate with COR.
13. Safety ‐ 01 35 26, Section 1.9, B. states monthly audits are to be performed by a third party “Certified Safety
Professional”. Can you confirm this requirement? Does it have to be a third party? Contractor to coordinate with
COR.
14. Safety ‐ 01 35 26, TB Screening. Please confirm TB screening is required. Contractor to coordinate with COR.
