36C24822Q0952 -- Histology Staining -- Vendor Questions/Government Answers

QUESTION 1: In Volume I, The RFQ document states:

Experience: Vendor exhibits at least three years’ experience and/or operation in the Cost-per-Test (reagent rental) for Special Staining, Immunohistochemistry (IHC)/In Situ Hybridization (ISH) and Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) Staining Systems.

However, there is no mention of an H&E Staining system in the RFQ. Do you require an H&E instrument as part of the response as well? Please advise.

ANSWER: H&E is not required.

QUESTION 2: Can you confirm if this is a base plus 5 option years or base plus 4 option years?

ANSWER: The contract will be awarded for a Base Plus 4 Option Years.

QUESTION 3: Are you looking to transition to a total of 3 IHC platforms and 2 special strainers?

ANSWER: Number of testing platforms would depend on the vendor’s equipment throughput. A minimum of 2 each is required for redundancy, regardless of throughput, even if the vendor’s throughput exceeds the required throughput per the SOW.

QUESTION 4: Do you want to include service maintenance into the CPT or would you rather have service priced separately?

ANSWER: Included

QUESTION 5: What are your installation timeline requirements?

ANSWER: Instrumentation must be installed and validated prior to 10/1/2022

QUESTION 6: Based on the pending responses to our questions and the current due date, we would request that the due date be extended by and additional two (2) weeks to June 28th.

ANSWER: The due date has been extended to June 28th.
