About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for a Request for Quote (RFQ) for Nurse Call System Support services at the Joseph Maxwell Cleland Atlanta VA Medical Center. The solicitation (36C24726Q0310) is a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration. This is a new requirement with no incumbent contractor. The contract requires 24/7/365 remote managed support services for a Jeron Provider 790 Nurse Call system, including software support, assurance, and remote administration. Services are strictly remote with no on-site visits required, and contractor personnel must obtain VA PIV credentials to access the VA Centrix remote gateway. The Jeron system is integrated with Get Well, Vocera, Bed Alarms, and will eventually include automated overhead paging; Service Contract Labor Standards do not apply due to the remote, professional/technical nature of the work.

Key operational details include an expected 5-10 system issues per month and approximately 5 service tickets monthly, with response and resolution times required as soon as possible given the life safety system classification. The pricing schedule includes two CLINs annually for Software Support and Assurance and Remote Managed Services, with invoices submitted in arrears on a 12-month unit basis. Contractor personnel must have Jeron-certified training and provide end-user training to hospital staff when updates or upgrades affect user or system functionality. Software updates and firmware upgrades are released frequently and must be maintained at current versions. The annual technical efficiency review requires no site visit and has no specific format requirements. Evaluation criteria include Technical Approach, Experience, and Past Performance with no page limits specified, and pricing may be submitted in the same volume as technical proposals or separately at the offeror's discretion.
