About this file

This document is a justification for limiting sources for a federal contract opportunity. The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office is seeking to award a sole source contract valued at $68,454.05 to Four Points Technology, LLC for the TrackCore implant tracking software. TrackCore is the only implant tracking software that meets all requirements for managing chain of custody for tissues and surgical implants within Veterans Health Administration facilities, including hosting on the VAEC Cloud and integration with Cerner as the future VA electronic health record. TrackCore is currently used under sole source contracts by multiple VISNs to track implants at their medical centers. The justification cites FAR 8.405-6(b) for items peculiar to one manufacturer as the authority to award this contract on a sole source basis through the CIO-CS Federal Supply Schedule contract.
